Naturalistic Planting

Inspired by wild places, in particular the prairies and steppe landscapes, these are loose, informal borders. The plants are largely perennials and chosen for their form as much as their colour.

Plants are combined in a ‘diffuse’ manner so that they mingle together as in nature. Plants of various heights are mixed throughout to encourage you to look though the border and see the plants in different ways.

Once established these are relatively low maintenance borders, requiring little or no feeding, staking or watering.
