Garden designed by Plantforms

New Build Front Garden.

The challange with the cottage type look in the new build context is to respect the modernity somehow while giving a significant nod back to Gertrude Jekyll et.al. I think I managed it here and particularly like the combination of the patio rose, the Salvia and Stipa.

My Pilot for Edinburgh Council.

I'd say this has been fairly successful. The perennials on the whole have held up to the elements and the flowering season has been long. The summer bedding has been removed already from the main roundabout but this scheme is still in full flow. I have to tweak the circular bed which didn't work as well as the triangular bed, the Aciphylla not really filling out in the way I'd hoped. Next year the main roundabout will have a similar scheme but incorporating bedding as well. Watch this space.....
